Does a hero use Assassin's Promise?
I tried to make an interrupt mesmer hero (Gwen) with Assassin's Promise (AP). The interrupts normally have a pretty long recharge time but I thought that AP would recharge all skills with each kill - making this an ideal setup for a hero. Especially when using signets as much as possible, energy management would be no problem. Fast casting would also come in handy.
How do I get Gwen to use AP constructively? I don't want to micro manage... I normally use Discordway so I start with my own AP, then call the target. Ideally Gwen would AP on the same target. Is this at all possible or just wishful thinking?

They suck at it. And you shouldn't be surprised if you think about it, lots of variables that one judges before you stick it on a target.
Only way I see is microing it.
Good luck and Have fun

Ya, just bind it to your keyboard.
If you have a programmable keyboard you can just make it the same key as [[assassins promise] on your bar (1-8) if thats what you run.
otherwise just press F11 and make it your #9 key or your <F> key, disable it then you do all the promising.

Hey, in my experience heroes do not use AP well unless asked very politely to do so
For faster recharging interrupts and a more hero-friendly elite, you could try [Mantra of Recovery]

they use AP pretty well but maybe a little late at some cases but it depends on how fast you kill and what mob youre killing. Generally they use it just fine, they cast it when the mob is about to die.

if you are using AP urself, gwen could be recognizing that the hex already exists on the target foe and will therefore not use AP on the called target. i don't know if hero's are capable of recognizing this, but this seems to be a strong possibility. therefore u would have to force her to use it on the same target that u use AP on.

good piont because in many cases they do recognise if theres a hex on their target already aand it can prevent them from casting AP, I never tried to run AP myself + hero need to see. x:

thanks. I'll try to bind her AP to a key and micro manage her AP usage. Question: if I call the target, then do her AP - will that AP go automatically to that target or do I have to micro manage her target as well - lock her in on that target?
I hope I can get it to work because I think the combo of constant interrupt recharge signets on a hero sounds really nice...

Your heroes will attack same target you are attacking so there is no need to lock your hero. Thing is that your hero wont cast AP untill the target is near death.
